Macready House, Marylebone, London
The Client:
Macready House is a portered block of 82 luxury apartments in Marylebone, London. The building is situated in former marital housing quarters for Metropolitan Police officers.
The Brief:
Daedalian Glass Studios was commissioned to design and create a decorative glass panel for the reception area to fill a wall space approx. 3 metres by 1 metre.
What we did
Daedalian founder, Davia Walmsley, travelled to London and photographed iconic London buildings for inclusion in the glass panel design. She then used these photographs to draw a montage of the London skyline.
The design was then realised in glass through multiple depth and multiple sided etching on 12mm thick toughened glass, and mounted onto a purpose designed stainless steel fitting for installation.
