We love it when clients are inspired by our previous work, and ask us to create a bespoke piece for them as a result.
On this occasion, our client, the owner of a residential property in Florida, had seen our work in the lobby and retail colonades while enjoying a stay at the stunning @thepeninsulalondonhotel.
Collaborating with both them and the interior designer, we developed this stunning pair of decorative fireside mirrors - combining hand-finished, bronze metal framework with uniquely textured handmade mirror, designed to perfectly complement the overall aesthetic of the room.

The vision, creativity and bespoke techniques of the Daedalian Glass Studios team are sought after across the world, in both commercial and residential settings.
This particular brief required handmade translucent screens and doors that would provide a stylish but functional divide between the kitchen and dining room areas in a residential property in South Africa. Our team created a contemporary design to add width to the space, as well as to diffuse the natural light from large adjacent windows, ensuring both privacy and ambience in the dining room. A combination of deep etched textures and a matte finish, with sharp, linear patterns. A stunning result.

A real highlight of a project for the Daedalian Glass Studios team, in partnership with our parent company @thompsonscontractors
The team at Daedalian Glass Studios was commissioned to recreate and enhance a table from the historic, art deco residential building Onslow Court after the original glass top was damaged. The brief - stay true to the original design, while subtly extending the overall length to better suit the space.
Our team undertook the specialist repair and restoration to the supporting legs to restore its integrity and crafted the new top from digitally capturing the original basket weave pattern, reproducing the original artwork. The design was precision etched into the glass, colour-washed to bring out the detail, and finished with a hand-chipped edge to match the character of the original piece.
A great example of restoration, craftsmanship and modern techniques breathing new life into a bespoke design.

It’s been a pleasure to see @the.glass.tower by @centralbeachleisure open its doors following extensive refurbishment, and to have played a part in helping to create a luxury new destination for Blackpool’s seafront, along with our parent company @thompsonscontractors and Thompsons Solar.
Starting with an original concept developed by @josephbonifacearchitects for client @centralbeachleisure, our team developed the final design following several rounds of sampling and art origination, settling on glass panel layouts for public spaces including dining room screens, door sets for the lobby and a curved glass panel located in the hotel’s main entrance - several entrances being fire rated but still using decorative, etched panels.
The artwork origination was based on beautiful art deco jewellery created by Daedalian’s founder Davia, inspired by the original hotel from the 1930s, using shapes and patterns from art deco architectural design. Several wall lights - or flambeaus - featuring beautiful cast glass were retained from the original hotel and now adorn the walls of the dining room and bar.
Panels were etched on one side but to different depths, providing a variety of diffused effects and a unique combination of shapes and forms - entirely bespoke, originated by Daedalian.
Installation was carried out by our team in partnership with @thompsonscontractors.
