The Whiteley London: A New Benchmark in Luxury Living, London UK

12/05/25

The Whiteley London, located at 149 Queensway, London W2 4BJ, is set to redefine luxury living in West London. This prestigious development boasts 139 high-specification new build apartments, 20 carefully curated shops, cafes, modern restaurants, a cinema, and a state-of-the-art gym.

The crown jewel of The Whiteleys will be London’s first and flagship Six Senses hotel and spa, featuring 110 rooms, 14 Six Senses residences, and a members’ social club and wellness spa. All of this is just a short walk from Hyde Park, Westbourne Grove, and Notting Hill, with excellent transport connectivity via Paddington.

Daedalian has been appointed to design, manufacture, and supply bespoke oversized panels for this landmark project. These panels serve as a stunning backdrop behind the reception desks in the lobby areas. Each panel is meticulously crafted from 6mm toughened reeded glass laminated to 6mm thick mirror, with a gradient etched finish on the front face. The panels are divided into three sections: the lower section features solid etching, the middle section has graduated etching, and the top section is a mirror.

There were four areas of the property with duplicated decorative finishes – the matte glass prevents bright reflection but allows light transmission, brightening the surround, while the ombre effect gradually turns the finish to a bright mirror above head height, lifting the perceived loft of the ceiling, drawing the eye upwards to the buildings elevated architectural detail.

Each phase of the project was delivered to the site in custom crates, transported on FORS-compliant vehicles to meet site requirements. Additionally, Daedalian produced a variant sample with an ombre colour effect, which can be customized to any specific RAL colour.

The Whiteleys London is not just a residence; it is a lifestyle destination that promises to elevate the standard of living in West London.
