Daedalian Glass Studios can create a range of architectural features in cast lead-crystal glass. Mouldings can be created for any architectural features required. Glass can have an etched or polished finish and can be back-silvered or back-painted.

Cast Glass

• Casting is a process that involves molten glass being directed into a mould to solidify into a desired shape. At Daedalian Glass Studios, the majority of cast glass is created by melting the glass in a kiln and directing it into either a plaster mould or a sand mould. This process allows for extremely intricate designs to be created and reproduced on the surface of the glass.
• Cast glass is also sometimes referred to as kiln cast glass (kiln casting), plaster cast glass (plaster casting), or sand cast glass (sand casting).
