Joe Walmsley

Managing Director

Joe was brought up in the glass industry and honed his glass working skills in our studio since an early age.

He returned to Daedalian Glass Studios in 2012 following a six-year hiatus in which he was employed in corporate finance in the City of London for multi-national banks.

This began a 5-year succession process in which he worked closely with Davia, gradually increasing his responsibility for the day-to-day running of the company before becoming the Managing Director in 2017.

    Founder & Creative Director

    Davia was awarded the Presidency of the British Glass Manufacturers Confederation in 2015 – the first and to date only female to ever hold this position.

    Her work draws on a wide range of influences that have inspired her over the course of more than 4 decades of glass working.

    She now focuses her time of creating bespoke glass designs for our clients and nurturing the next generation of glass artists within our studios.

  • Chris Walmsley

    Technical Director

    Chris possesses over 50 years’ experience in the construction industry across a variety of sectors from civil engineering to super prime residential.

    He provides his expertise to the logistical side of operations and is a specialist at assessing project practicalities and the installation of glass structures.

    His invaluable expertise has contributed to Daedalian Glass Studios gaining a reputation for delivering on technically challenging projects
