Exporting is a subject often talked about at Daedalian and over the years we have won the occasional decorative glass project in places like Europe, Dubai, and Kazakhstan.
During 2015 the number of enquiries we received for art glass projects – particularly in the Middle East has really expanded, so tonight one of our three directors – Joe Walmsley flies out to Dubai to meet some of the project design teams. He will also be visiting interior designers and architects in Doha and Abu Dhabi.
On our previous export projects, designers have had to rely on photographs of the decorative glass we produce, now we have the opportunity to present the real thing, good quality samples demonstrating the range of decorative glass we design and manufacture. All the projects are in the hospitality and very high end residential sectors, exactly where we target our marketing effort here in the UK.
As this is our first venture into the Middle East market Joe has taken advice from the DTI regarding cultural etiquette and will be assisted and advised by the British Centre for Business in Dubai.
Good luck Joe we’ll see you in two weeks.
