The Client:
Daedalian were approached by Interior Designer Jane Thomas for this project at a private residence in Hale. We have a strong working relationship with Jane and have collaborated on many private residences over the years.
The Brief:
Daedalian were commissioned to create a number of glass focal pieces at this private residence including doors, splashbacks, and windows in floral and geometric designs.
Kitchen Splashbacks:
This splashback was created by laminating a free issue material from the Designers Guild called 'Indian Sunflower' between two pieces of low iron glass, with a black back painted detail. The colours in the fabric tied in perfectly with the bold green cabinets.
Door & Side Panel:
Taking inspiration from the Designers Guild 'Indian Sunflower' fabric from the kitchen splashback, Daedalian created a bespoke double sided sandblasted design featuring colourful bonded elements, echoing the floral theme throughout the house.
Stairwell Window:
Using kiln formed glass designed to look like a honeycomb texture, low iron glass was toughened with colourful hexagonal bonded elements to match the colour scheme of the kitchen splashback, and the bespoke doors.
