The Hellidon Lakes Golf and Spa Hotel is located within a 220-acre plot of the Northamptonshire countryside. Eight lakes lie within its landscaped grounds, a key feature of the intertwined golf course.
To create two pieces of glass artwork that will act as a screen between the administrative areas of the hotel and the main reception desk. These transparent partition screens are designed to allow light to pass through spaces yet remain obscured.
These kiln formed screens were designed by Davia Walmsley and are heavily textured to evoke the patterns formed by waves across the surface of water. Coloured, fused square glass and dichroic glass disks are bonded to add a juxtaposition of colour and textures, playing against the organic feel of the kiln formed screens beneath.
