The Client:
Belmond Cadogan Hotel was built in 1887 and designed by architect HB Brace. Oscar Wilde was a frequent visitor at the Cadogan Hotel and room 118 was famously the scene of his arrest on 6th April 1895. The Lillie Langtry Suite is the former residence of the late-Victorian actress that bears its name. She was a mistress to the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward who later became King Edward VII.
The Brief:
Daedalian Glass Studios were commissioned to manufacture and install shower room / WC enclosures across the 54 bedrooms and public areas of the Cadogan Hotel.
Daedalian Glass Studios used a combination of laminated reeded glass, etched glass, and antique silvered glass throughout the highly anticipated Cadogan Hotel refurbishment.
