The refurbishment of the iconic 5 star Lanesborough Hotel, Hyde Park Corner is now complete. We have been working on this project for the past 16 months, the first 5 months developing all the bespoke components that make up the 22 columns and 5 window pelmets in the Belgravia Room. All the glass is either low iron or lead crystal, antique silvered by hand and fixed to the substrate with mirror screws and hand made crystal rosette cover caps – over 1000 in total.
Every component was made at our studios in Lancashire or UK based artisans.
Columns
Base: Constructed with 40mm semi-circular crystal rod and 19mm low iron glass
Shaft: 25mm Fluted glass
Capital: Ionic shape with bevelled edges and brilliant cut Egg and Dart
Cornice: 30 and 40mm Cast glass. Leading edges hand bevelled and polished, Top and bottom faces polished.
Window Pelmets
Bevelled clusters with hand made bevelled edges and brilliant cut detail.
Celeste Restaurant
We also produced the sandblasted design for the seating screens and wine store in the Celeste Restaurant.
