The Daedalian Glass Studios team can’t wait for London Design Festival 2018 next month. The Festival is always a healthy source of inspiration for our team and an opportunity to meet new potential collaboration partners and catchup with our peers in the interior design industry.
The vision of the Festival since its creation in 2003 has been to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world. In 2017, over 450,000 visitors from more than 75 countries visiting the events and exhibitions.
The Festival has so much to offer for visitors, but we’ve picked out a few highlights for you:
Decorex 2018
The only show of its kind for the high-end UK interiors industry, Decorex showcases the latest in luxury interiors and design from more than 400 exhibitors. Running from 16-19th September at Syon Park, the event couples breath-taking exhibitions with inspirational talks from leading architects, designers and makers.
Glass @ The Forge
The Forge, the original site of Brunel’s shipbuilders for The Great Eastern is hosting a showcase for international glass artists from 15-23rd September. Glass is one of the most diverse and beautiful materials to work with, and we’re looking forward to being inspired by our peers in the industry from across the world.

WilkinsonEyre Installation
Leading architects, WilkinsonEyre are showcasing a number of their iconic projects including the restoration of Battersea Power Station etched into transparent glass blocks from 19-22nd September at the House of Detention in Clerkenwell. This is a truly innovative use of glass design to highlight the intricacies of architectural design and we can’t wait to see it.
Running from 20-23rd September at the Old Truman Brewery in East London, the London Design Fair brings together architects, interior designers, press and design-savvy members of the public to see and specify the latest furniture, lighting, textiles and materials. The event offers a real international flavour – with pavilions showcasing the latest designs from countries including the UK, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy.
