We have been working on projects at Hale Synagogue for many years. The first photograph shows the sandblasted design to the entrance, completed some twelve years ago.
Our latest project is to the “Mechitza” – Glass balustrade around the Ladies Gallery. The carrier panels are toughened and laminated low iron glass with a blue interlayer. The applied pieces are water jet cut to shape and fire polished in one of our kilns. Fine sandblasted glass detail and hand inlaid silver is added to the front face and then bonded to the surface of the carrier panels. This is an ongoing project to replace most of the plain blue glass panels with similar intricate designs.
